What does White mean?

A name for the color that is light and pallid in color — common objects that bear it are fresh milk or snow.

Other definitions of White:

  • Any person of light skin or of Caucasian descent. The term is generally consider inoffensive, as the group is often not stereotyped harshly and experience privileges others do not.
  • When capitalized, may be referencing White identity politics or White nationalists organizations, which advocate for national identity for white people.
  • A color without hue at one extreme end of the scale of grays, opposite to black. Reflects nearly all the rays of light.
  • A slang term for the drug cocaine, that is white in color.

White:

  • Which color do you want to be in chess? White or black?

  • I've got a White brother-in-law who makes the best eggnog you've ever had.

  • The White Power Ranger definitely did not stand for White power. Tommy used to be the Green Ranger anyway, and the guy actually in the outfit was Shiro Izumi, a Japanese actor. Co-opting harmless symbols is all part of their playbook, and it's sad to see.

  • Let me get a few grams of white before I head to the club.
