What does Snowflake mean?
A reference to the falling ice crystals that are know for their uniqueness, the derogatory term is now used to indicate someone who is hypersensitive about their views.
Other definitions of Snowflake:
- A slang term for people who are overly sensitive and is easily offended. The term gained popularity in the 2010s as a politicized insult, leveraged at opponents when seeking to aggravate or cause conflict.
- An insult for someone who is delicate and has overinflated idea of how unique they are, like a snowflake. These people get upset when encountering ideas or notions that are not in line with their own.
- Snowflake is a cloud-based data warehouse company. It offers cloud-based data storage and analytics services.
