What does Masochist mean?
A term for person who feels sexual or other gratification from suffering physical pain or humiliation.
Other definitions of Masochist:
- A person who finds pleasure in pain or degradation that is self-imposed or from others. Not necessarily sexual in nature.
- Somebody who can find pleasure in self-denial, submissiveness, or pain. Is the M in BDSM, which can mean "Bondage, Domination, Sadism, Masochism".
- An individual who can be sexually stimulated via pain, which can be self-inflicted or delivered by others. Named after L. von Sacher-Masoch, an Austrian novelist active in the mid-1800s.
- Having or relating to the taste of suffering. Can take many forms, from spanking to sounding.
